The RREC participated as a regional secretariat in the meetings in Vienna and attended the monitoring and evaluation workshop, meeting of the regional secretariat and meeting of the program board. At the meeting the RREC was introduced to the International Secretariat and the Program Board of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership. Besides this, the representatives of the RREC made useful contacts with regional secretariats from North America, Latin America and Caribbean, Central Europe and South Africa. All participants contributed to the discussions on the official goals and strategy of the REEEP, how to increase effectiveness of the partnership and improve communication between the partners. The REEEP Program Board considers cooperation with the RREC very promisingly, especially taking into account enormous potential of renewable energy sources in Russia and FSU countries, already arisen need of harnessing of renewable energy sources and interests from the business world.
