Activities

The Regional Secretariat for Russia and Former Soviet Union is responsible for managing the following tasks:

  • operating as a regional clearinghouse of information regarding renewable energy and energy efficiency
  • serving as coordinator of regional capacity building initiatives
  • identifying regional key opportunities for REEEP
  • supporting REEEP projects and partner interests in the region
  • establishing regional REEEP infrastructure

    Energy Efficiency Building Codes for Russia and Kazakhstan

    In the remote villages of the Volga river basin, fossil fuels for heating are transported by road, servicing a regional population of between 5-7 million people.
