About REEEP

Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) is a Public-Private partnership, which was launched by the United Kingdom along with other partners at the Johannesburg World Summit on Sustainable Development.

REEEP Priorities

  • policy and regulations: assisting governments with regulatory policy frameworks which integrate renewables into the energy mix and to help establish "investor friendly" climates;
  • innovative financing: assisting with the creation of renewable energy funds, financing models, ESCO business models, tradable renewable energy certificates schemes, and bundling of small-scale projects;
  • communications: knowledge dissemination, project finance matchmaking, local capacity building and in-country media support for renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.
  • REEEP currently comprises 150 partners including 36 governments, businesses and NGO’s committed to accelerating the uptake of renewable energy and energy efficiency.
