Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) is a Public-Private partnership, which was launched by the United Kingdom along with other partners at the Johannesburg World Summit on Sustainable Development.
REEEP Priorities
policy and regulations: assisting governments with regulatory policy frameworks which integrate renewables into the energy mix and to help establish "investor friendly" climates;
innovative financing: assisting with the creation of renewable energy funds, financing models, ESCO business models, tradable renewable energy certificates schemes, and bundling of small-scale projects;
communications: knowledge dissemination, project finance matchmaking, local capacity building and in-country media support for renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.
REEEP currently comprises 150 partners including 36 governments, businesses and NGO’s committed to accelerating the uptake of renewable energy and energy efficiency.
